WHAT I LEARNED IN SCIENCE THIS WEEK!!!

In science this week i learned that how we have seasons and that is important to know because now i wont end up being embarresed like those harvard kids. We learned this by conducting experiments in class.

Also we learned what happens when a planet falls out of orbit. We learned this by discussing this in class. It is important to know this because now that helps me understand other things about space.

And finally I learned the reason the earth doesn't crash into the sun. I learned this by doing a lab report. It is important to know this because I have always wondered about that question. and now itis finally answered.

P.S. sorry i haven't been blogging lately. I forgot a few times and some times my posts didn't save or show.

P.S.S. Thank you For changing the blog format!

P.S.S. Sorry and thanks again. Bye!!!

Science

this week in science wed di alot of reeiw but one thing I did learn was how to make a motion diagram.
I learned this by while I was in class Mr. Segan taught us.
It is important to know this because if I need to make a motion diagram on the quiz I can easily be able to make one.

We also reviewed for the test on next tuesday.

WHAT I LEARNED IN CLASS THIS WEEK!!!

1. In class this week I learned that on a graph with speed and position that a steep slope means that the object is moving fast and also.We learned this by talking about it in class and doing a homework assiment on it. This is important to know because if i ever see a graph I can tell how fast an object is moving.

2. Also in class I learned that you can divide the position by the time to get the speed that something is going at. We learned this by experimenting in class and making graphs to test it. It is important to know this because know if a graph isnt labled with numbers i can still find the speed of an object.

WHAT I LEARNED IN CLASS THIS WEEK
1. In class this week I learned that when something is moving for example a bus in the direction of my right that it does not always mean that it is moving right. It could be different from another persons prespective. So when describing the direction something is moving it is better to use directions such as North, South, East, and West because it doesnt matter on your perspective directions are always directions. It is important to know this in the real world because if you are describeing directions you can clear up confusion by useing the directions on a compass.
2. Also in class this week I learned that if you are describing directions and you dont have a compass that you can describe directions such as possitive and negative. We learned this by going over a homwork sheet in class. It is important to know this because now I can describe direction even if I dont have a compass.
3. Finally in class this week I learned that as things move the gain speed by picking up momentum. I learned this by doing an experiment with an elctric car during class on Friday. It is important to know this because it can help understand the world around us such as why a ball when you through it does ith pick up speed?

WHAT I LEARNED IN SCIENCE THIS WEEK!!!

  1. This week in class I learned that when you look at an object such as a ruler in water from an angle it looks like it is bent which is called a refraction. We learned this when we did an experiment on it in class on Tuesday. It is important to know this because now if you look at something in the water and it is distorted I will know that it is truly not bent it just looks like that.
  2. Also this week we learned about the wave model of light and the particle model of light and how they both work under different conditions for example the particle model works for casting shadows and the wave model works for the refracting of light in water. We learned this through experiments done in class. It is important to know this so that I know that not just one light model works and that they work in different conditions.
  3. Last but not least we learned that when the light from the wave model hits the water it refracts at a down angle. We learned this by discussing it and finally coming to this conclusion in class. It is important to know this because now I know that the wave model works with the refracting of light and now I know how it works.

What We Learned In Class This Week (:

1. In class this week we learned that all different surfaces have different levels of reflectiveness. For example water is more reflective than the table. We learned this by testing how reflective they were we shined the lazer on many different surfaces and then gave the reflectivness a rating of 1-5 and thats how we came to our conclusion. It is important to know this incase you are tyring to see your reflection in something you know wheather or not you will be able to see it.

2. Also in class this week I learned that if I shine a lazer at the mirror it will reflect back up at the same angle. We learned this by shining the lazer at a 30 degrees and measured the angle if reflected back at and it was 30 degrees. Then we did the same thing with 40 degrees and so on. It is important to know this because it is good to know that things will reflect off of a surface at the same angle they are shined at.

3. Finally in class this week I learned that light is made up of particles of light. Light moves at the speed of light and gos in staight lines. We learned this because Mr. Finley and Mr. Segan taught us this in class on Friday. It is important to know this because now I know what light is made up off and that could be useful.

1. In class this week I learned that when you shine a certain shape of light through a small hole, due to the fact that it needs to flip its self to fit through it comes out on the wall upside down. I learned these ideas in class when we did the exeriment and shined the light bulb through. It is important to know this in the real world so that if you take a picture with a camera you know why it takes it upside down.

2. The camera works like the candle experiment by the fact that when the flash comes out of the small hole and flis upside down taking the picture upside down but hte camera prints it right side up. I learned this when we had a disscusion in class and came to this conclusion. It is important to know this because now just like in number 1 I will know why a camera takes a picture upside down and prits it right side up.

3. And last but not least I learned that certain surfaces have different levels of reflectivness such as water and wood. I learned this when we began an experiment where my group shined the lazer pointer on many surfaces in the room and gave their reflectiveness a rating of 1-5. It is important to know this because now I know why a mirror will be more reflective than a wall.
